All At Once

Suddenly it's hitting me
At a hundred miles a hour
All the hurt and pain
It's taking over

I don't know where this came from
So sudden I wasn't prepared
Happy one second
Crying the very next breath

Feel like I can't breathe
Trying to suck in enough air
But it feels like heavy lead
As it settles in my lungs

My stomach is turning
I might just be sick at any moment
Spasms are grabbing onto me
Taking over my body

Don't know what is happening
Why here and why now
No triggers to set me off
No reason for this at all

But still I see his face
The one who hurt me first
And I see his too as it races by
The one who drug it out for a year

Still I see his too as the memories come
The one who picked up the pieces
Lastly I see you my best friend
Who will always be so much more

These faces of these four
They flood my vision completely
Make it hard to even see to write
The tears obscuring the rest

As I lay here in bed just trying to sleep
All that I can think of is all of you
How you broke and are breaking my heart
And I just want sleep to come

Take away this pain.
